Pathway to Growth

St Croix Vineyard Church (SCV) is a community of people who are on a common journey to loving Jesus and people better.  Whatever your thoughts are about church, whatever your beliefs are about God, you are welcome to come along on this journey with us.

Rather than presenting you with a series of one-size-fits-all hoops to jump through as we grow together, this document describes a few key elements that we think are important – elements that will take various shapes for each of us and may happen at different stages. We’d like to encourage you to start exploring each element at your own pace.

Here is an overview of the 3 elements. We hope that somewhere in here you’ll see a next step for you. If you’re not sure what to do next then talk to us and we’ll help (contact info is on the last page).

Explore God

Many of us have questions about God. We invite you to start asking those questions together with us in a safe and non-judgmental environment by attending one of our Sunday Services (9:15am and 10:30am) or arranging to talk with one of our leaders.

Live Life Together

Faith isn’t something that we work out on our own. We need people around us to share life with (both the easy and the hard parts). Spending regular time with others in the SCV community is a significant part of growing toward wholeness.

We encourage everyone to be in some sort of intentional relationship with other people. This could be as simple as meeting every 1-2 weeks with a mini group of one or two other people to talk, pray, encourage and challenge each other.

Probably one of the best ways of sharing life together is to join a small group. These are groups of 4-15 people that meet regularly (usually involving food, spending time together, and some form of spiritual content). These groups are more than just a regular “meeting” – they are mini-communities who care for each other and inspire each other as we follow Jesus together.

We encourage people to start their own groups. If you would like help connecting with a mini group or small group please chat with Peter Fitch (see contact info on the last page).

Make a Difference
Each of us has a desire to make a difference in the world around us. Each of us has something to offer. Sometimes we overcomplicate things by looking for ways to “change the world” rather than watching for ways that we can care for the people around us.
Making a difference starts by developing healthy relationships with our families, neighbours, and co-workers. We also find ways to volunteer in the SCV community as well as in our town communities.
