    LymeNB Online Auction

(The on-line bidding will take place in early December, between  December 5 and 8)
If anyone is interested in donating something, or knows of someone else who is (an individual or business), they are welcome to connect with me by email  kellyharrell@gmail.com or phone (506-321-5566). Thanks,

LymeNB is the registered business name for the New Brunswick Lyme Disease Association Inc., a not-for-profit organization incorporated under the New Brunswick Companies Act in August 2016.  In March 2018, we were granted Charitable Status by the federal government.  What does this mean to you as a business owner?  In a nutshell, any monetary donation you make can be deducted as a donation expense for your business.

In anticipation of our 2nd Annual On-Line Auction, we are looking for donations from various businesses around New Brunswick. We are asking that you partner with us in our effort to raise funds, whether it be a monetary donation or a donation of a product or service for our on-line auction.

We are undertaking fundraising activities so that we can carry out our mission of preventing tick-borne illnesses, while supporting and being a voice for those affectedLyme disease is the fastest growing vector-borne infectious disease in North America, and in the world, for that matter.  Contracted through the bite of an infected tick, Lyme disease can be easily treated IF it is caught early.  If left untreated, it can become a debilitating disease affecting multiple body systems and wreak havoc in a person’s life.

Science has demonstrated that tick populations are growing and expanding.  We know this is the case in New Brunswick.  The risk of contracting Lyme disease is therefore also increasing. Prevention and awareness are key.

For further information regarding the on-line auction, you can contact me directly at sandyt2179@hotmail.com or 506-470-9131.  You can also check out our auction site at https://www.32auctions.com/LymeNBonlineauction2018  Auction date is Dec 5 to Dec 8, 2018

Thank you for your careful consideration and anticipated support.

    Sincerely,

Sandy Tucker, Treasurer, Finance Committee Chair, LymeNB

    Community Food Smart St. Stephen.

We are excited to kick off a Community Food Smart program here in St. Stephen!

What we are: Community Food Smart is a bulk food buying club for individuals and families keen on purchasing quality fruits and vegetables at affordable prices, sourced from local farmers when possible.
Community Food Smart operates through a network of community partners who collect orders, provide volunteers, and distribute food bags to their members each month.
Together, these partners donate their time and effort to make each area’s food buying club a success.

How do I join: Members can place an order for one or two fresh produce bags a month. The price of a food bag is $15. There is also a membership fee of $10. Please email one of our distributors to join.

Getting involved: Volunteers help sort and pack bags for same day delivery, if you’d like to join the team please email rsnelgrovefood@gmail.com.

Want to become a distributor? Email rsnelgrovefood@gmail.com for more information.

What’s in a bag: Bags are brimming with produce carefully selected to ensure freshness, affordability and variety.
We consider everything from what’s in season, what’s
available at a fair price and what’s available from local farmers.
Standard items include apples, bananas, oranges, potatoes, onions and carrots. The rest of the items will vary each month.

Join our facebook group for more information.
